Description

Air1 brand Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) a high-quality API certified DEF product, meeting ISO 22241, comprised of 32.5% technically pure urea and 67.5% deionzed water. Air1 DEF is a low hazard product and has a similar appearance to water.

Air1 DEF is sprayed into the exhaust stream via an injection system and is then converted into ammonia on a catalyst. The ammonia breaks down the dangerous NOx emissions produced by diesel engines into nitrogen and water. This system is called Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) and can be found on 2010 and later model year trucks, diesel pick-ups, and SUVs.
